Internship Program
GreenMax’s internship gives interns the option to work remotely or join our team in one of our office locations in Brooklyn, New York; Nairobi, Kenya; Lagos, Nigeria; or Kinshasa, DRC.
Interns at GreenMax conduct market research, financial analysis and other writing, communications and outreach tasks to support our ongoing business activities. Responsibilities include proposal development, grant writing, market research, data analysis, and preparing investment and debt financing solicitations to support our fund management and investment advisory work in Sub-Saharan Africa and other emerging markets.
For the internship program, we are specifically seeking candidates with excellent written proficiency in English. Fluency or proficiency in French is highly desirable. We encourage current students or recent graduates from university programs in sustainable development, renewable energy, energy and environmental policy and finance to apply.
While we encourage full-time commitments, part-time arrangements may also be accepted to accommodate schedules. We always cooperate with universities to ensure academic credit. Interns will receive a modest monthly stipend. Some of our interns have been invited to permanent positions with us and many others have used their experience at GreenMax to leverage interesting positions elsewhere in the sustainable energy field.
