GreenMax provided technical assistance to Southern Commercial Bank in Suriname under the IDB's Caribbean Eco-Micro Program, supporting the design and implementation of green financing solutions for MSMEs and low-income households.
In 2022, GreenMax was retained by the IDB under the Caribbean Eco-Micro Program to provide specialized technical assistance services to Southern Commercial Bank in Suriname to support the design and implementation of green financing solutions for MSMEs and low-income households in the country. The GreenMax team conducted a market assessment, prepared an operations manual for green lending, and provided training and capacity building to Southern Commercial Bank staff. The training covered green financial product development; preparation of environmental guidelines and policies; and a risk analysis of the bank's loan portfolio.
