GreenMax supported SEforALL with preparation of an FCDO-commissioned report analyzing the rural mini-grid sector in Sierra Leone.
In 2020, GreenMax was retained to support SEforALL with preparation of a report commissioned by FCDO to analyze the rural mini-grid sector in Sierra Leone. The scope of work included analysis of existing mini-grid programs and business models, policies and regulations, and opportunities for agricultural productive use of electricity. The GreenMax team collected and analyzed mini-grid market data through interviews of local stakeholders – including policymakers, regulators, mini-grid developers and field surveys of mini-grid communities across six districts of the country. At the conclusion of the assignment, GreenMax collaborated with SEforALL to deliver a final workshop to present the study’s findings. The final report is accessible here.
